Brazoria County Judge Matt Sebesta also released a message Friday afternoon:
Residents of Brazoria County,
We are seeing a continual rise in positive COVID-19 cases throughout Brazoria County. We need to take action NOW to slow the spread of this virus. Be mindful of your neighbors, loved ones and the vulnerable population by following CDC guidelines for COVID-19. I highly recommend you follow these guidelines.
Stay at home when possible
Practice social distancing when in public
Wear a mask when in public
Wash your hands regularly
Use hand sanitizer when you can’t wash your hands
Is sick STAY HOME!
Let’s work together to be a part of the solution. Be safe Brazoria County.
EDITORS NOTE: Today a staff member was notified that they came in close contact with a COVID-19 positive person and is now in self-quarantine until released by a doctor. We are fortunate to be able to bring the news to you from the comfort of our own home and have not been in contact with the general public.
We hope the best for you and your loved ones. Please continue to be responsible and stay home when you can. Be considerate of others. And, please for the love of the Lone State State, if you are a survivor of the virus, please donate plasma. COVID-19 patients that are in dire condition need your COVID antibodies to help them survive.
Plasma donation is safe, easy, and could save many lives.
STAY POSITIVE AND KEEP TESTING NEGATIVE, FRIENDS! -lsd
