Pearland Mayor Tome Reid announced all business employees and visitors will be required to wear a face covering.
The plan goes into effect 12:01 a.m., Sunday, June 28 and ends at 11:59 p.m. on July 12.
All business owners will be required to implement the policy or face a fine up to $1000 for each violation.

Mayor Issues Mandatory Mask order for Pearland Businesses
With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, and the safety of the community the first priority, the Mayor has signed a mandatory facemask order that goes into effect Sunday, June 28th and will last until Sunday, July 12th unless otherwise extended.This order mandates that businesses open to the public require employees and visitors to wear a face covering.
