Police seeking to identify person of interest in shooting

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a person of interest for questioning in a shooting that occurred last week.

The shooting occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m., on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at an apartment complex at 3401 Ocee Street.

The victim was sitting on an electrical box outside his apartment when an unknown male approached him, grabbed him, and they scuffled, according to the Houston Police Department.

During the scuffle, the suspect pointed a pistol and shot the victim on the left side of his head, police say. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Paramedics transported the 49-year-old victim to the hospital.

The suspect is described by police as a black male with a thin build, about 6-feet tall and in his early 20s. He was wearing black pants with a white stripe, a white T-shirt, and a grayish baseball cap.
