Brazoria County on Friday increased its count of coronavirus cases by 5 to a total of 10.
IN A PRESS RELEASE FROM THE COUNTY:
Brazoria County Health Department has identified five additional cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the county bringing the total to 10. Here is the information per case:
*The sixth case is male, between the ages of 45-55. He resides in the Pearland area and is at home recovering in isolation.
*The seventh case is male, between the ages of 40-50. He is in Pearland and is now in self-isolation.
*The eighth case is male, between the ages of 40-50. He resides in Pearland and is at home recovering in isolation.
*The ninth case is female, between the ages of 65-75. She resides in Pearland and is at home recovering in isolation.
*The tenth case is male, between the ages of 50-60. He resides in Alvin and is at home recovering in isolation.
All of these cases are travel related.
These cases are under investigation by the Brazoria County Health Department.
Updates on the initial first five cases: all five individuals are at home recovering.

Texas now has 194 confirmed cases of COVID-19, according to the state’s Department of Health and Human Services. Five people have died.
Earlier in the week, Gov. Greg Abbott declared a state disaster and said that numbers would likely rise given increased testing.
