On Sunday, Chick-fil-A announced it will be temporarily closing its dining room seating in all restaurants across the nation over coronavirus concerns.
According to the chain, some of its restaurants may only offer service through the drive-thrus, while others may be able to offer takeout, delivery or mobile ordering options.
The company said these changes will help limit person-to-person contact.
On Friday, Chick-fil-A closed announced that all playgrounds would be closed to help focus heightened sanitation efforts in other areas of the restaurant. They also started serving meals in carry-out packaging and drive-thru guests were no longer offered a printed menu
The company also mentioned its restaurants may implement additional changes including reducing menu options and hours of operation.
“In addition to following CDC guidance and partnering with local health departments, all franchise restaurants have been equipped with recommended procedures to follow if their community, or someone from their restaurant, becomes impacted by the virus,” Tim Tassopoulos, Chick-fil-A’s president and chief operating officer, said in a personal note last week to guests.
