6:00 PM UPDATE:  Orange County baseball coach John Altobelli, his daughter Alyssa and wife Keri died in the crash

4:00 PM UPDATE:  Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says nine people were killed in the crash.

Kobe Bryant, 41-years-old died in a California helicopter crash Sunday morning, TMZ Sports reports.

Five people were killed in the crash.  TMZ reports that Kobe’s oldest daughter Gianna Maria Onore were among the deceased.  Gianna was only 13-years-old.

The identities of the other passengers have not been released.

His wife Vanessa was not on board.  The couple had four daughters together.  The youngest is only 7-months-old.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
