Our hearts are breaking: Urgent plea to find Moose a home

Our hearts are breaking as photos of Moose are shared on social media. Currently at Pearland Animal Shelter, the 2-year-old male Rottweiler mix has been at the shelter since November 30th.

On the Pearland Pets Facebook page,

Meet Moose! Moose has been at the Pearland Animal Shelter since Nov 30th! He is approx 2 years old, up to date on vaccines, heartworm positive, but otherwise healthy. Look at those neck snuggles with that tail wagging. He’s a lover! Being positive for heartworms should not discourage you from adopting this sweet boy! Sadly, so many people come in and love Moose, but when they see he is heartworm positive, they pass on by, leaving him still at the shelter.

Moose is a recipient of our Heartworm Treatment Pledge Fund for $250 towards his heartworm treatment, paid directly to the veterinarian of adopter’s choice.

The shelter is at FULL CAPACITY. It’s VERY urgent that Moose and other pets find a foster home, are adopted or find a rescue who can take them in.
