YMCA Operation Backpack now underway

IT MAY BE THE MIDDLE OF THE SUMMER, but the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA is already thinking about going back to school.
To help students in Pearland ISD get ready for a new school year, the Vic Coppinger Family YMCA is collecting school supplies for their annual Operation Backpack project which began July 9 and will continue through August 9.To support the drive, you can do any of the following:

Make a monetary donation or purchase pre-packaged school supplies at H-E-B at the checkout stand for only $5.oo Your donation will directly support the Vic Coppinger YMCA.

Drop off donations

There are several drop off locations. Backpacks and supplies can be dropped off at Coppinger YMCA at 2700 YMCA Drive, at Cosmic CrossFit, Crosspoint Church, First Choice Emergency Room in Silverlake and Pearland, H-E-B (288 and Pearland Parkway), Heritage Bank. Memorial Hermann Pearland and Southeast, New Hope Church (Alvin), Pearland Pediatrics, Pearland Claws & Paws, Pearland Orthodontics, Blue Ridge Landfill, Brazoria County Counseling Center, Dawson Booster Club, Christy Buck Team/Infinity Real Estate Group, Keller Williams, Bakfish Brewery, F45 Gym, Lakes at Country Place Clubhouse Subdivision and New Hope Friendswood.

 

This is the 15th consecutive year the YMCA has hosted its Operation Backpack for Pearland.
